Interest Groups

Interest Groups generally have no specified deliverables or timeline but are ongoing for as long as needed. IGs may decide to work on lightweight deliverables at their discretion, such as benchmarking surveys, code sharing, and indexes to documentation maintained by members. IGs are focused communities of practice where participants exchange ideas and strategies and explore topics. IG’s tend to have a broader focus to allow a variety of ideas. Any member can spontaneously create an informal Interest Group at any time. These informal groups can be formalized and receive infrastructure support by working with the Advisory Committee.

Interest Group co-chair terms are one year and renewable.
