APTrust welcomes the Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) as our newest sustaining member! Their commitment to long-term digital preservation and collaborative stewardship makes them an excellent fit for our consortium.

Kelvin Smith Library is the central hub for research, learning, and innovation at CWRU, catering to the diverse needs of students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. The library’s Special Collections boast an impressive array of rare books, manuscripts, and historical photographs, including a first-edition work by Galileo, significant literary collections such as Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass and John Milton's Paradise Lost, and manuscript collections related to the history of science and fine and performing arts. These resources are invaluable to scholars and researchers worldwide.

A cornerstone of Kelvin Smith Library’s digital initiatives is Digital Case, CWRU’s online platform for curated digital content. Digital Case offers open access to a vast array of digitized photographs, audio recordings, rare books, manuscripts, and more, serving as an essential resource for research and education. The platform is committed to the long-term collection, maintenance, curation, and preservation of unique and distinctive digital collections for the CWRU community and beyond.
