After working with the Academic Preservation Trust since its inception, Bradley Daigle will be retiring this Fall as its Executive Director. Daigle has spent the last decade focusing on building sustainable networks including chairing the Archives of the Virginias and creating and leading the formation of the DPLA service hub, Digital Virginias. Daigle has been involved in active digital preservation for over 15 years, having worked on UVa’s Sustaining Digital Scholarship program which successfully used such faculty digital scholarship as the Valley of the Shadow to demonstrate how libraries can work closely with scholars to preserve the cultural record. Daigle has been in this current role since March 2021.
Daigle will retire and assist Chair of the APTrust Board, Dean Tyler Walters as well as UVa Library’s Dean John Unsworth in the search for a new Executive Director. The consortium is hosted at UVA, and APTrust staff are UVA employees.
