APTrust offers new Deep Archive Services to its Members

June 3, 2019

June 2019 APTrust is pleased to announce that it now offers a new storage service to its members, AWS Glacier Deep Archive. This is our most affordable storage option. Costs are not yet finalized but it will likely be less than $25 per terabyte, making it suitable for high volume storage that you expect to access infrequently. This new service will provide yet another choice for organizations who want to diversify their storage options based on how they steward their collections. APTrust continues its active development of new services geared towards the preservation community whose needs can change rapidly. APTrust is the first distributed digital preservation service to implement this new option. For more information about storage options, see the APTrust Storage fact sheet about Glacier Deep Archive. See Amazon’s recent announcement about the new service or AWS’s storage class overview document.
